2000
Millennium Development Goals

This year the Millennium Declaration identified fundamental values essential to international relations The Millennium Development Goals (2000-2015) set targets for realizing these values around the world by 2015 and served as the focus for UN work throughout the period:

2005
Sustainable Development Strategy (SDS)

We have been started our working on the “Sustainable Development Strategy (SDS)” discourse since 2005 as an independent initiative that tried to increase awareness and promote UNMDGs.

2011
SDS Int'l Group

We established the “SDS Int’l Group” Company and were accepted as a member of the UN Global Compact. We continue our supporting UNMDG with the collaboration of the UN global compact and its ten Principles to meet fundamental responsibilities in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact:

Human Rights

Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.

Labour

Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and
Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

Environment

Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

Anti-Corruption

Principle 10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.

2012
National Sustainable Development Strategies (NSDS)

At the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development the attending members reaffirmed their commitment to agenda 21 in their outcome document called "The Future We Want". leaders from 180 nations participated. agenda 21 is a non-binding action plan of the United Nations with regard to sustainable development. It is a product of the Earth Summit (UN Conference on Environment and Development) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992.
we have been starting our work in Programme for the Future Implementation of agenda 21 and joined to movement to the reaffirmation of the importance of National society’s role in solving global issues such as climate change, water crisis, poverty, hunger and other threatening issues.
So, as while as they set a target for the formulation and elaboration of National Sustainable Development Strategies (NSDS) that reflect the contributions and responsibilities of all member states. We as a pioneer developed our strategy through the widest possible participation based on a thorough assessment of our current situation and initiatives then we try to motivate and support other players on an international and regional scale and try to move organizations from SDGs alignment to SDGs action.

Goal 1: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages

Goal 2: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable

Goal 3: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
 

Goal 4: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss

2015
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

UNMDG lifetime ended in 2015 and The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals (2015-2030), were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
The SDGs are:

We proudly join SDGs’ call for action and reshape our strategy according to the Integration concept, (an integrated approach to planning and implementation of sustainable development) which is based on SDGs because of the integrating nature of 17 SDGs, they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability.
We launched our first project about corporate governance (CG), and corporate social responsibility (CSR) based on ISO:26000 Guidance on Corporate Social Responsibility this year.

2017
ESG Principles

We started our collaboration with UNESCO’s chair program of Global Understanding, UNPRI (principles for responsible investment) and UNAI (United Nations Academic Impact).

2020
SDS Group New York

We extended our company by establishement of SDS Group New York as our global frame and expand our strategy to the assessment and evaluation of SDGs contribution besides our previous activities in planning and implementation of Sustainable development.

After 18 years of working in sustainability fields, we fairly declare as an independent structure we have enough knowledge and experience to act as a leader in sustainable strategies based on SDGs and global compact principles, ESG.
