Sustainability Watch

We work as a sustainability Watch to:


• Ensure that the commitment to “leave no one behind” and the Sdgs framework is fully respected.

• Raise awareness of goals and targets amongst the general public, monitor and review Sdgs implementation, and push for action where needed.

• Promote a critical shift away from the current unsustainable development model, focused almost exclusively on the market and economic growth

• Make sure that consumers can trust the claims they see on products for sale and don’t fork out extra for items falsely presented as eco-friendly.

• Protect of Customers against brands then found to be misleading consumers including using vague terms, complex jargon or green visuals to exaggerate the positive environmental impact of its product or Services.

• Support for Policy Coherence for Sustainable Development and for the four dimensions of sustainable development (environmental, social, economic and governance) to be reflected in Sdgs implementation

• Work within the SDG framework to ensure that governments and the private sector are held to account to a much greater extent.
